The Food Tree book is not a diet or weight loss program. Its the basics
of using nutrition and proper eating to get to a healthy BMI. No
gimmicks, pills, potions, or special food combining techniques. The key
is education in Dr. Elvebakk's book. This is also not a diet doctor guru
either. Just a bariatric physician's approach to shedding fat cells by
not feeding them. The objective is to learn how to feed muscle, starve
fat, and adjust food choices so that a patient learns how to use protein
effectively. Price wise The Food Tree is very competitive and actually a
deal compared to the more expensive commercial weight loss centers.

Venus Bodywork Review
Venus Bodywork was amazing. I've always wanted to try a body wrap, but
I'm a student and have seen how expensive these treatments are. Venus
was offering a superb deal, so a friend and I went to try it out.
The ladies here were unbelievably personable and informative. They told us how each treatment works and what to expect. They made sure were were getting the right treatment for the results we expected.
If you are shy about stripping down, they are very assuring and make sure you feel comfortable in every way. The rooms are very private with a calming atmosphere.
There are quite a few treatments to choose, and we chose the clay wrap.
The treatment was so soothing that I fell asleep, and so did my friend!
I would love to return in the future.
It may take more than one wrap (two?) to start seeing inch-loss results, but it felt good to get some toxins out of my body from this initial wrap.

Veronica Van Gogh Graphic Design Review
Having worked in the web design business for years, I had a very
specific vision of my finished website. Veronica was able to translate
my verbal instructions into corresponding visual elements. More
importantly, she took my basic design instructions and created something
that was beyond my expectations. Between Drop Box and email, I was
always kept up-to-date on the status of my projects. In addition to my
website, Veronica also created the design for my business cards
(EVERYONE comments on it when receiving one) along with other important
collateral for my business. Very fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Now Voyager Travel Review
I want to personally and publicly thank Now, Voyager Travel for all their help during my "crisis" with Air Canada.
Basically, what happened was that Air Canada delayed all my flights and then lost my luggage on what was supposed to be my 15-day "dream vacation" to Norway and Scotland. My luggage contained important daily prescription medication as well as technical hiking gear (the bulk of my trip involved hiking in Norway).
I was basically stranded in Stavanger, Norway for 3 days because Air Canada lost my luggage and could not find it (as I was told by their so-called customer service operators) . Air Canada could not locate my luggage for 3 days, and by that time the medical condition that affected my legs got worse and I could barely walk in my hotel room, let alone go hiking!
So, adding to the bad customer service that I already received from Air Canada staff while I was stranded at Toronto International Airport, they then told me that I could NOT leave to go home earlier than the original date of my airline ticket. Otherwise, I would have to pay extra just to go home early!
How messed up is that?!?!?!? First, 1) They lose my luggage, 2) My medical condition got worse, and 3) I missed the VERY reason for visiting Norway (my hikes were pre-paid with special Norwegian hiking guides)--and now, 4) I had to pay EXTRA to Air Canada just to get home? That is the lowest of the low in customer service!
My FANTASTIC travel professional Jonathan (who was on his own vacation at the time) and his colleague Peter IMMEDIATELY did everything that they possibly could to get me booked on ANOTHER airline as fast as they could.
Heck, if I were to pay $1500+, I was NOT about to give more money to Air Canada. So, Now Voyager travel got me onto KLM Airlines--which made me so happy.
It is great to be back in the United States--and I thank Now Voyager Travel for getting me back home from this "Air Canada nightmare."
Thanks a BILLION, Now Voyager Travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A happy, always-satisfied, proud and loyal customer of Now Voyager--for over 7 years now.

Feed Health Review
I had an unfortunate streak of superfluous illnesses last winter and was
getting really frustrated. No amount of sleep, exercise, or echinacea
was protecting me from the latest thing going around. Then I realized
the one thing I was really missing was a foundation of healthy eating
habits. This busy career girl was subsisting on takeout, airport food
and sauvignon blanc for far too long. It was time for professional
intervention.
Lindsay does a very thorough intake of your likes, dislikes, habits, and attitudes about self-care to find places where you can improve and expand. She's thoughtful, attentive, and truly interested in educating you to live a healthier life. Through a personalized program, you learn that healthy eating is more than just getting your vitamins - it's about buying whole foods, learning to cook easy dinners for yourself, and knowing exactly why you should care about things like non-GMO foods and free-range chicken eggs.
She's even led me through Rainbow Grocery, where I can now navigate the formerly intimidating bulk section with ease, willingly buying things like millet and dulce. My Southern mother says she has no idea what I'm eating these days, but as long as I'm getting my vitamins, it's cool.
I should point out, while we've seriously changed my approach to food, Lindsay hasn't encouraged me to rule out anything "fun" - I just know how to make better choices at any given moment. Sometimes a bloody mary feels like a fabulous idea, and that's okay.
Working with Lindsay is one the best things I've done for myself. Definitely worth the investment!

Domicile Properties Review
It's just weeks after moving into a new house. I have a toddler and a
full time job. So, it takes something truly amazing to make me want to
write a yelp review instead of snuggle into bed. And, Domicile
Properties is truly amazing. We found them through these Yelp reviews,
so I guess we owe it to the Yelp community to add our 2-cents.
My partner Anthony and I are now first-time homeowners thanks to the incredible staff at Domicile. There was a point there when I forgot that Shane Ray and I weren't best friends because we spoke everyday and he advised me on everything from the quality of hardwood floors to potential elementary schools for my daughter to how to manage mortgage finances. Patty and Julie, the super senior sages at Domicile, were available day and night, week days and week nights. As newbies to this experience, we really needed experienced and professional people to help us through the process, literally educating us on every aspect of real estate. From the moment that we met them, we knew that this team was far beyond the type of real estate agents that might encourage you to buy a place that isn't quite right. They are working for lifelong relationships, not sales. And... when we decide that we are ready to sell a home or friends/family need a recommended agent, we will go back to Domicile. So, in the end, being really good at your job and leaving even the most cautious home buyer happy, is the best kind of business that you can have.

2hats Consulting Review
I am a
small business owner (chiropractor in downtown Berkeley) and am always
looking at how I can make my business more successful. Not only do I
want to earn more money, I want to serve more patients, offer them a
better experience, and have good "operations" within my business.
I just hired 2 Hats Consulting and John was incredible at asking the right questions to quickly identify what was most important to me, what my goals were, and where I needed to put attention to improve my business (and my life!).
He's easy to talk to because I get the sense that he cares about me, and about making the world a better place, but more than that, he's really knowledgeable about business management. Every time a new topic would come up, from staffing, to internet marketing, to commercial real estate purchases, he would instantly have something invaluable to say. I wish I'd recorded our sessions because my written notes just couldn't capture it all.
Basically, John is the answer to your business consulting needs. If you're interested in how your business could be thriving beyond where it is now, give this man a call.

Webify Lab Review
Gina is awesome and she R-O-C-K-S!
I would highly recommend using her online marketing services.
I have found them to be essential. I don't have time to endlessly post
ads or figure out what the latest, greatest social marketing site is.
I'm too busy running my business!
Gina
has been designing and maintaining my websites for years. Whatever my
newest hair-brained scheme was, she made it come to life via the
internet. The couple of times i've tried to do it myself...I just end
up coming back to her. She always tells me "Well, it's not so bad...I
can fix it..." I already know we're gonna scrap the whole thing... I
think she was trying to make me feel better! LOL! =)
Her
rates are always reasonable and makes you feel that your business is
important to her, as it is to you. Once she said to me "If you're phone
isn't ringing, then mine won't either! I gotta get you clients so you
can keep paying me!" Gina, I'm totally okay with that. Money well
spent!

Casello Webworks Review
I was
previously using a template-based design for my small business web site,
but it needed a severe upgrade last year. Jamie taught me a ton of
useful information about search engine optimization (SEO) and I realized
that a WordPress-based site would be ideal for my business.
I had gone through two graphic designers who loved creating fancy splash pages and cool-looking Flash pages for my site. But Jamie explained that Flash sites are SEO killers. Casello Webworks took my existing colors and logo, and designed a clean, professional site that is easy to use, and most importantly, has increased web traffic and search engine rankings for me.
Managing the site is simple, and to be able to make my own updates (without having to pay a designer to do so) is great, and extremely cost-effective.
Jamie was great to work with, went above and beyond in helping me set up a few extra pages and features on the site, and has been available for questions whenever I had them in the year since my new site went live.
Highly recommended for anyone who needs a clean, professional site that works, and can be found on Google, Bing, or other search engines. Pricing was very competitive, and WAY better than forking over a few grand for a Flash site with fancy graphics that no one would ever see.

Steve Padis Jewelry Plus Enterprises Review
My then-fiance (now husband) is a very creative guy, therefore it was only natural that he wanted to design my engagement ring.
He spent a long time researching diamonds, settings, and jewelers. He
visited both the Jewelry Center and the Gift Center/Jewelry Mart and
talked to many people about custom designs. He ultimately went with
Steve Padis because the man gave him a GREAT deal.
Because
my husband is so awesome, he got to sift through their diamonds (which
they normally don't allow), and hand-pick the ones he wanted for both
the engagement ring and wedding band (yes, he designed a band to
match!). He worked closely with Maria (who was AMAZING and so patient),
who served as a liaison between my husband, Steve, and the jeweler who
would be hand-making the rings. There was a lot of negotiating involved,
but the diamonds on my rings are better quality than those you will
find at Tiffany/Cartier/etc - for a very, very, VERY small fraction of
what those stores would sell.
The result? Two beautiful, sparkly, one-of-a-kind rings on my finger, with a hearts-and-arrows center stone. I'm so lucky.
